Wofford’s Taking Chances

“Pause for a minute, close the books, and believe in yourself. Because your biggest moments aren’t going to be on that page.” That’s how this companion piece to Wofford’s viewbook and other recruitment material introduces potential students to the kinds of chances they’ll have at Wofford College… and the kinds of opportunities current students are engaged in. We call it “Taking Chances.” View it online here.

In Vad We Trust

We decided to go off the beaten path (literally, we went off-roading in a golf cart!) on a campus tour of Wofford with student-athlete Lavadrick Farrar for our newest video for Admissions. It’s not your normal, dry college tour (there’s a shaving cream fight involved), and we think that amusing, energetic Vad is perfect to show off a decidedly interesting campus over at WoCo. Check out the full-length video here!

The Waterboy(s)

While we’re bigger fans of wine and Diet Coke (in no particular order), ou-ou-our mommas always said that there’s nothing wrong with good old water. We had fun conceptualizing a new emblem for Spartanburg Water, and we think our design is clean, simple, and refreshing (suspiciously reminiscent of the product itself, actually). But we really had no other option; to us, good design is just as essential to life as high-quality H2O.

Vegetarian Cattle Branding

For a bunch of vegetarians, branding an epic outdoor beef blazing should probably be more challenging. But hey, we love a party. And this bacchanal hoedown made the cover of the Wall Street Journal. We dubbed it BoviNova, but we did print up special “AvocadoNova” shirts so peace lovers could represent. Protein choices aside, nobody doesn’t love fire-dancing and sword-swallowing right? And that moonshine was for cooking purposes only. Really.

Sweet Dreams are Made of These

We loved creating a new approach for Blue Ridge Log Cabins. These handcrafted whole-log homes are the darling of cabin enthusiasts because they combine authentic rustic quality with state of the art building technology.  They’ve already been featured on HGTV. Prepare to see a lot more of the benefits of owning a genuine Blue Ridge Log Cabin.

Act Like Children!

The new spring course catalogs for the YOUTH! theatre are in the mail! Who says youth has to be wasted on the young? Thanks for all the compliments on the rebrand (keep them coming, our egos are fat but hungry!!). WE love the new logo and tagline too (if we do say) and we really believe “imagination never gets old” …so you should too! Thanks also for all of you who keep plastering everything all over town with rich fat splats and loads of color. Enrollment has exploded!

A Werewolf and Jerry Lewis Join The National Beta Club.

The National Beta Club has teamed up with Twilight’s Boo Boo Stewart and Jerry Lewis to raise $1.00 for every National Beta Club member during this school year and present a check for over $400,000 to Jerry Lewis at the annual Labor Day MDA Telethon in 2011. In Boo Boo’s honor, Derek designed the entire brochure with his shirt off.
